Sir William Waller, Divine Meditations Upon Several Occasions: With a Daily Directory, p. 161:

Every day is a life in little; in the account thereof, we may reckon our growth from the womb of the morning; our growth, from thence to noon, when we are as the sun in his strength; after which, like a shadow that declineth, we hasten to the evening of our age, and so to our sun-set, when we come to close our eyes in sleep, the image and representative of death.
