Note, Those that trust in God, in his providence and promise, though they have great families and small incomes, can cheerfully hope that he who sends mouths will send meat. He who feeds the brood of the ravens will not starve the seed of the righteous.
It is an English proverb that can be traced to the 16th century, if not earlier, to which he refers: "God who sends mouths will send meat."
Elsewhere, on Psalm 127, he writes:
Children are a heritage, and a reward, and are so to be accounted, blessings and not burdens; for he that sends mouths will send meat if we trust in him.
And on Jeremiah 35.12-19, he writes:
Note, Sometimes those that have the smallest estates have the most numerous progeny; but he that sends mouths will be sure to send meat.
Trusting that it is God alone who opens and closes the womb, and that his blessings are blessings indeed, remember that God never gives more than we can handle, but if we walk in the path of obedience and righteousness, God who is faithful will provide all that we need, and even more than we could think to ask.
