Good news from the UK! Last year I was pleased to highlight the 10-volume DVD set produced by Satch Chikhlia of Book Academy known as "The Spurgeon Collection." This includes 1) one volume containing a vast amount of the works of Charles Spurgeon; 2) five volumes containing the works cited in Spurgeon's famous Commenting & Commentaries; and 3) four volumes of works known as The Puritan Library, a wealth of Puritan gems.
Now I am pleased to report that both individual volumes are for sale, as well as the five-volume set covering the works cited in Commenting & Commentaries, and the four-volume Puritan Library, sold as discrete units.
I encourage readers, lovers of the Puritans, Spurgeon and godly literature, to visit Satch's website, The Book Academy, for more information on this invaluable collection, including its contents and pricing. It will be well worth the visit.

The Spurgeon Collection
I am pleased to note a wonderful contribution to the church which is the conception of Satch Chikhlia of Book Academy. The Puritan-minded "Prince of Preachers," Charles Spurgeon, long ago wrote his famous guide to Commenting and Commentaries. His comprehensive evaluation of a wide range of Biblical commentaries has helped many students of the Word, even those who may not agree with Spurgeon fully on every point, to discern the wheat from the chaff amongst interpreters. Yet, many of the works he cites are next to impossible to find today in print. What Mr. Chikhlia has done is to assemble electronic editions, obtained from diverse sources, of many of these commentaries cited by Spurgeon to make them accessible to the 21st century reader. His website itself is a great resource for those seeking online access to such commentaries. But even more special is the new 10-volume DVD set which he has produced called "The Spurgeon Collection." The first five DVD's contain the catalogue of works cited in Spurgeon's Commenting and Commentaries -- to the extent that they are available in electronic form, which amounts to 849 titles. One DVD provides a collection of around 160 works written and recommended by Spurgeon. And the four remaining DVD's comprise a Puritan Library, including eight volumes of Puritan histories and 446 select works by 113 Puritan writers. All together, there are 1,467 individual works included in this 10-volume set.Take the time to watch this brief video clip which highlights the features of "The Spurgeon Collection" DVD set and see for yourself the benefits of owning this remarkable resource.
The DVD set can be purchased complete or as individual DVD's (the price for the first 100 customers is £155 ($250) [£15.50 ($25) per DVD], after which the regular price is £199 ($325) [£19.90 ($32.50) per DVD] + shipping & handling). Be sure to visit the Book Academy website for further details. I commend Satch for his labors on this project, and highly recommend "The Spurgeon Collection," which is a valuable resource for all students of God's Word. To have access to the commentaries that Spurgeon reviewed, many of Spurgeon's own works, and a compendium of classic Puritan literature at one's fingertips is an opportunity not to be neglected. Tolle lege!

Book Academy
Charles Spurgeon provided a great service to the church with the publication of his Commenting and Commentaries in 1876. It is a very useful guide to commentaries on the whole Bible as well as books and sections of the Bible.
Satch Chikhlia has also done a great service by, wherever possible, providing links to online editions of each commentary referenced by Spurgeon at the Book Academy. I encourage readers who are interested in Spurgeon's recommendations to check it out.
