God's Prism

While thunder booms, lightning cracks, wind blows and rain pours
Serenely his eye looks westward assured
That this storm too shall pass though heaven opens all doors
And that a token looked for has endured

For in the "unaccustomed light" that will follow
When glittering droplets begem the sky
Painting more vivid colors than any Van Gogh
God's prism keeps faith His vow to you and I.
